Examination Results Day
- GCE - Thursday 19th August, 2010.
- GCSE - Tuesday 24th August, 2010.
- The results will be given out in Plas Seren between 9.00am and 1.00pm.
- Exam certificates will arrive in school after the October half term, please collect them from school after this date.
General Reminders for Your GCSE Examinations
1] Make sure you have a copy of your yellow, exam timetable (or its white replacement). Keep it safe. You will need to bring this in with you for each examination as proof of identity and to help with seating.
2] Most exams will take place in the Gym. Please enter and leave through the fire door by the yard. Do not disturb the rest of the school.
3] The morning exams will begin at 9am. Please be in school by 8.45am.
The afternoon exams will begin at 1pm. Please be in school by 12.45.
If you have been asked to attend warm-up sessions before any exam then you may need to come in at 8.15, 11.30 or 12.15, depending on the start time of your exam.
4] If you are late, please inform the school of your expected time of arrival. You are allowed into the examination room up until 30mins after the start of the exam. Special late entry forms may be completed until an hour after the start of the exam. You will not be allowed into the examination room after this time.
5] You are required to wear full school uniform to sit your examinations.
6] When you enter the Gym you are under examination conditions, and must not talk.
7] You are not allowed to have a mobile phone on your person in the examination room. Any mobile phone should be switched off and handed into the examination invigilators.
8] You are required to bring in any relevant equipment for the examination you are sitting. You should bring in at least two pens.
9] Pens and pencils should be in a see through container or bag.
10] If you feel ill during the examination, put your hand up and inform the invigilators. They will instruct you on what you can do next.
11] If you are too ill to attend your examination, a medical note from your Doctor covering the date of your examination should be brought into school as soon as possible. Phone school to let them know. Non-attendance without a Doctor's certificate will result in your being charged the entry fees for that subject.
12] Only clear, unlabelled water bottles are permitted.
13] At the end of your exam you must exit via the fire exit doors when dismissed and leave the school premises promptly.
14] Results day is 24th August. The school will be open from 9am. Enter the school through outside entrance for Plas Seren. The results will be laid out in Plas Seren. Staff will be available for consultation regarding further educational choices.
If you need to have your results posted, please bring a stamped self addressed envelope to school before the end of term.
15] Certificates may be collected from the school office after the October half term.
